Making it Fresh: An inexpensive and simple way to keep your home smelling fresh is to damp mop all hard surface flooring multiple times per week. The level of foot traffic or how many pets you have that walk the floors will determine how many times per week mopping would be required. It is a simple task, doesn’t take much time and is less expensive than scented candles, that can harbor toxic fragrance or irritating scents.

Holiday Shopping: With many holiday gatherings approaching it is easy to spend extra time shopping with young ones at your side. Until recently I had not given much thought to the amount of static electricity generated by the wheels of a shopping cart meeting a linoleum floor. The electrical snap that comes through the cart handles or metal cart itself was surprising once I noticed it. Static electricity hinders the function and health of our cells, and my thoughts move to the infants or children placed in the cart while mom, dad or grandparent proceeds through the store. When possible, a more healthy option would be to place the infant in a front or back style carrier avoiding the shopping cart ride altogether. Above all, please keep the little ones safe!
