Downfalls of Sodium Bicarbonate

Each month seems to bring a new discovery.  Those who have read my publications know that I have been on a health transforming journey for going into my fifth year.  During the first year of my journey, I began to gradually eliminate various foods to attempt to pinpoint the disturbing culprits.  In the second and third years I eliminated all leavening agents, including yeast, baking soda and baking powder.  I carried this through for one full year.  I began to connect the various phases of the moon with some of the troublesome culprits and decided to slowly add baking powder back into the diet simply to have the ability to expand my bread consumptions from the simple tortilla, which does not require a leavening agent.  After several months I began to experience an odd taste in my mouth and tiny red bumps across my abdomen.  The most peculiar change was a bump on my spine, which I could not see, that would itch. Going through the checklist of various additions I had made to my diet, which was quite short, I came to realize the baking powder used in my homemade biscuits and pancakes was the cause of the red rash-like bumps.  This would also explain the odd taste in my mouth.  Sodium bicarbonate is a gas and was obviously interfering with the chemistry within my body resulting in the bumps and itching.  Add the sodium bicarbonate to the power that the body receives from moon phases and a negative reaction can be produced.  This situation reminds me of the instruction given by God to eliminate yeast at a specified time of the moon phase.  Interesting.

Once again I eliminated the baking powder (all forms of sodium bicarbonate) and within two weeks the red rash and itching on the spine began to dissipate.  It became obvious that sodium bicarbonate influences the skin and creates a negative form of a gas that becomes evident through even the breath.  What else could this gas producing agent be doing to the body?  The way my mind works this discovery makes me wonder if sodium bicarbonate CONTRIBUTES to the occurrence of skin cancers.  Add a little sunshine or power from a moon phase to a sodium bicarbonate-soaked skin (body) and what do you get?  That’s the question that needs an answer.

In all things be healthy and have a Happy New Year! Jill
